Biography

Shon Pittman, an Atlanta native, showcases the mutualism of art, science and expression throughout her work. A graduate of North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina, Pittman received her undergraduate degree in Biology. She successfully creates otherworldly imagery by marrying her passion for the sciences with her love for nature, the human figure, and the arts. Pittman executes her pieces through exquisite line drawings and vibrant melodious abstract acrylic paintings.

Pittman has exhibited her work in a array of venues and events throughout Atlanta including Mason Fine Art Gallery, Fulton County Government Center, Southwest Arts Center, Paper Planes Gallery and Bloomingdale's at Lenox. Her work is also among several private collections.   

 

Aside from being an artist, Pittman has her hands in curating solo as well as group exhibitions including Dead Ringer at Murmur Media and The Ugly Truth at HOBI Studio.
